Do you ever wonder if we are really alone in this universe? Is the story about Area 51 real? Could we protect ourselves from an invasion?

A new movie from Columbia Pictures starring Tommy Lee Jones (Batman Forever, The Fugitive) and Will Smith (Independence Day, Bad Boys) puts a new twist on the idea of aliens invading Earth. Jones and Smith are the Men In Black, protecting the Earth from the scum of the universe.

Working for a highly-funded, yet unofficial government agency, Agent K (Jones) and Agent J (Smith) are providers of immigration services and regulators of all-things-alien on Earth. They are our world's best, last and only line of defense when close encounters get ugly.

The movie begins with Agent K and Agent D (Richard Hamilton) staking out an alien that is trying to escape the planet. K and D show up and capture the alien, but not before D discovers that he can no longer hack it as an MiB, so K must look for a replacement.

K discovers New York Police officer James Edwards (Smith) after Edwards inadvertently captures an alien criminal. Edwards is chosen by K and by Zed (Rip Torn), the MiB director, to be K's new partner.

K and J begin wreaking havoc on the renegade aliens in the United States, but in the meantime, a gigantic, intergalactic cockroach lands on earth in an attempt to cause a full-scale interplanetary war. The "Bug," as it is called, steals the body of a redneck farmer named Edgar (Vincent D'Onofrio), and begins his quest to cause the destruction of earth.

A series of mysterious alien deaths leads the MiB to the city morgue where the agents encounter Deputy Medical Examiner Laurel Weaver (Linda Fiorentino).

Weaver stumbles onto the secret that both the MiB and the Bug are looking for and ultimately becomes a captive of the trouble-making alien.

The MiB arrive on the scene, but are they in time to rescue the coroner and keep the Bug from leaving earth with the one thing that can keep the earth from being destroyed? Well, of course they are but getting to this point is hilarious fun.

Men in Black, created from a comic book series by Knoxvillian Lowell Cunningham, could be one of the most comical sci-fi/action movies of the summer. It's filled with great special effects and an outstanding cast.

Jones and Smith give movie-going citizens a feeling of security because they are the Men in Black, protecting the Earth from the scum of the universe!
